Space Chase! Summer Reading Challenge

Blast off with Space Chase! The 2019 Summer Reading Challenge, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

Children taking part in The Challenge will read six books over the course of the holidays, and help our super space family, The Rockets, as they track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens! Read every week this summer and get special rewards.

Space Chase! Summer Reading Challenge is a six-week event. Sessions take place on the same day and time each week. To help as many children take part as possible, East Riding Libraries will be running multiple sessions each week for some libraries. However, due to space and resources, you can only attend the session time and library you originally booked.

Please note, all libraries are closed on Monday 26 August for the Bank Holiday, speak to the Library staff in your local branch for alternative arrangements if one of your sessions falls on this date.

For more information about the challenge, downloadable challenges to do at home and a reminder of session times, please visit the Summer Reading Challenge page.

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to read six library books during the long summer holiday and is organised by The Reading Agency, supported by Arts Council England.
